New 2017 Chevrolet Camaro at McLoughlin Chevrolet for Milwaukie, OR
An iconic nameplate and brand, known to enthusiasts and most others worldwide as a seriously fast vehicle, what more argument needs to be made for the Camaro, especially the recently redesigned 2017 Chevrolet Camaro? Probably none, but let's at least outline the worthy details and some impressive cumulative design. Since last year's complete redesign, the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro sees a new Teen Driver mode enabling the setting of defined driving parameters, for all of the slightly nervous parents out there seeing that this car is loose on the streets. Chevy also has integrated the tachometer, speedometer, and driver information screen into one complete cluster for a streamlined appearance, plus adds a compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay touchscreen interface to boot.
Under the Camaro's Hood
Chevy is calling 2017 the Camaro's 50th anniversary, and is really putting the enthusiasm into the engine compartment! The standard turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine has 275 hp, and comes standard on 1LT and 2LT Camaros. Available on the 1LT and 2LT Camaros, a 3.6 liter 335 hp V6 has 284-lb torque, plus the VVT. The 6.2-liter engine, standard to the 1SS and 2SS models, comes with a double-check-it-worthy 455 hp and 455-lb torque. That results in, on the optional 8-speed automatic transmission, a zero to 60 mph time of just 4 seconds flat, authoritatively beating its muscle car contenders. Otherwise, all Camaro models come standard with a six-speed manual transmission. The Camaro is meaningfully lighter than the previous-generation, with proficient standard and optional suspensions. Previously available only on the high-performance ZL1, you can now get magnetic suspension dampers on the SS, which makes both a markedly smoother ride and tighter cornering, graciously expanding on the Camaro's fun (but limited) 'peel-out in a straight line only' roots.
Design of Chevrolet Camaro
Need that extra push to get you onboard? Well, let me say this: it's available as a convertible! You can choose between a four-seat coupe or a convertible. Both have four trims: 1LT, 2LT, 1SS and 2SS. Standard on the base 1LT are 18-inch alloy wheels, a rearview camera so you can be safer parallel parking, and adjustable driving modes. Technology includes Bluetooth connectivity, OnStar (with 4G LTE Wi-Fi connectivity), a 7-inch touchscreen with Chevy's MyLink interface, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration compatibility and a six-speaker sound system with satellite radio, two USB ports and an auxiliary audio jack. This way you can ideally set the tech to assist you, not distract you, while you roar down to the drive-in movie. Add on top of that with the available Technology package: nine-speaker Bose audio system and an 8-inch touchscreen (also with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality). With the 2LT trim you have that plus dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and heated/ventilated front seats. The 2LT also has an available Convenience and Lighting package. An RS package is available for the 1LT and 2LT models, with 20-inch wheels and xenon headlights. The 1SS adds to the base trim, adding a V8 engine, 20-inch wheels with run-flat tires, upgraded (Brembo) brakes, a sport-tuned suspension and the upgraded multifunction display behind the steering wheel. The 2SS includes all the features from the 2LT trim, along with unique interior accents and the Convenience and Lighting package. A 50th Anniversary Edition package is available for 2LT and 2SS Camaros that builds on the RS package with badging, a body-color front splitter, and Brembo brakes. So a lot of options any way you slice it, take a moment and see what suits you!

Excellence in safety has now become the way of fast cars, otherwise no one would risk buying them. No exception to this, the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro standard safety features include front-seat knee and side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags, antilock disc brakes, traction and stability control, the OnStar telematics system and a rearview camera. The Convenience and Lighting package adds several safety features, including a blind spot monitor, lane departure warning and rear cross-traffic alert.
