Introducing the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe

On the surface, the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe is certainly a sight to behold. Its size alone is head-turning already, and once you drive it, the power that it provides certainly tends to impress. If you're in the market looking for a powerful pickup that can serve you and your various driving needs, you might as well check out this model in reliable auto dealerships to see for yourself why it could be the one for you.

Trim Levels

The Chevrolet Tahoe adds two new trim levels to its line-up, coming up to a grand total of five varieties to choose from, starting from the LS (4x2 or 4x4), LT (4x2 or 4x4), Premiere (4x2 or 4x4, and now the Custom and the RTS Sports. These trim levels are similar when it comes to the combined MPG rating, which is at 19 mpg. The engine for the previous trims is a 5.3-L V-8 engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission with OD and auto-manual options, and 355-hp.

The new Custom also takes the role of the new entry-level model, while the RST sports drives in with a lot more swagger, thanks to its 6.2-liter 420-horsepower V-8 engine.

Performance

The latest iteration of the Chevrolet Tahoe brings in an impressive-and reassuring-array of technology that improves not only driving performance but also passenger comfort. For one, there is the Max Trailering Package which features a quicker rear axle ratio and a trailer-brake control.

There's also the Enhanced Driver Alert package that lets the car protect the driver and the passengers by gaining control of the vehicle in case the driver loses it or is become distracted. With this package, you can get the low-speed forward automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, power-adjustable pedals, and automatic high beams.

While the Tahoe is officially a full-sized SUV, it is sometimes affectionately considered to be a "covered pick-up", that's why it's only fair that people will come to expect much from its towing capacity. Fortunately, it does step up to the plate, with its rear-drive version can tow up to as much as 8,600 pounds-of course granted that the proper equipment is involved. The rest of the AWD models aren't doing so bad either with as much as 8,400-pound capacity.

Cargo Space

This is another crucial element particularly for large vehicles like the Tahoe. It sure would be such a great disappointment if all that body on the outside won't have an impressive amount of space on the inside. Disappointment is not something you'll have to deal with when you get the Chevrolet Tahoe, though, because it certainly delivers on that space that you need-as much as 94.7 cu. ft.

Originally, the 2018 Tahoe features three rows of seats, but with still enough space at the back, don't you worry. However, for the 2018 iteration, the three rows are now only available on the base LS trim. This is why it can accommodate 8 to 9 people. As for the rest of the models, they now only have two rows for the seats that fit less people (7 to 8) but let you haul in more cargo. It will ultimately be your decision if you'll prioritize the number of passengers over the amount of cargo you can bring with you, or vice versa. The important thing is that there is an option you can choose from.

Interior Comforts

The front bucket seats can have a 12-way power-adjustable heated and ventilated seats, while the second-row bucket seats also get the heating privilege. You can rest easy as you lounge on the comfortable seats created with premium stitching and certified craftsmanship. Even the steering wheel can be heated and leather-wrapped to match the rest of the seats too.

The infotainment system also gives you an 8-inch diagonal touch-screen display, which allows you to integrate your phone with it. There's also a customizable Driver Information Center, 4G LTE Wi-Fi, and hidden lockable storage to keep you feeling even more secure.

There is so much more to explore and discover about the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe, of course. A trusted and reliable dealership such as McLoughlin Chevrolet can help you get to know it more so you can determine if it is the right vehicle for you.
