The new 2017 Chevy Volt is equipped with many standard features and is available in two trim levels, which includes the LT and the Premier. The LT base trim comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights, keyless entry and ignition, remote start, 60/40-split folding rear seatbacks, automatic climate control and a tilt-and-telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel. The plug-in hybrid system for the 2017 Chevy Volt consists of twin electric motors that are able to produce 149 horsepower and a 1.5-liter gasoline engine/generator. The electric motors get powered by a 18.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that can be charged in a couple different ways. One way to charge the electric motors would be to simply plug-in to a 120-volt outlet or a 240-volt charging station. Another way to partially charge up is with the use of a gas engine/generator that will kick in when the initial charge is depleted and will then work as a generator to continue providing electricity.

The 2017 Chevy Volt contains a straightforward and simple interior design with comfortably contoured front seats. There are optional features such as two-tone color schemes or the 8-inch MyLink infotainment interface. The technological features includes a re-configurable driver information and gauge cluster display screen, Bluetooh, OnStar, Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, a six-speaker sound system, two USB ports, and an auxiliary jack. The Hatchback design makes it very easy for loading and unloading cargo and contains a luggage area of 10.6 cubic feet.
